Red Rainstorm Signal

  • CDM will open as usual.

Black Rainstorm Signal

  • If Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted before our opening hours and last till on/after 13:15, CDM will be closed for the day.

  • If Black Rainstorm signal is cancelled before 13:15, CDM will aim to open at 15:30, if possible. Please check our website and social media page for latest opening updates.

  • If Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted during our opening hours, CDM will remain open.

  • Rebooking of museum tickets are ONLY accepted when:
    (1) the original admission time was when the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal was in force
    (2) the original admission time was within 2 hours after the cancellation of Black Rainstorm signal

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3

  • CDM will open as usual.

  • Requests to rebook a visit are not accepted.

  • CDM will remain closed for the day if the typhoon signal No. 8 is lowered to the typhoon signal No. 3 at or after 13:15.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Above / Extreme Conditions

  • If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions is hoisted before our opening hours and last till on/after 13:15, CDM will be closed.

  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions is cancelled before 13:15, CDM will aim to open at 15:30, if possible. Please check our website and social media page for latest opening updates.

  • If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions remains after 13:15, CDM will remain closed for the rest of the day.

  • If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 will be issued within two hours as announced by the Hong Kong Observatory during our opening hours, CDM will close 30 minutes after the announcement.

  • Rebooking of museum tickets are ONLY accepted when:
    (1) the original admission time was when the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions was in force
    (2) the original admission time was within 2 hours after the cancellation of the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or Above/ Extreme Conditions

Rebooking arrangement due to inclement weather

(Applicable to individual or group booking)

Individual booking

If your museum booking was cancelled due to inclement weather (including Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 8 or above / “Extreme Conditions” / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal^), you may rebook for a new session within 7 days by submitting the following information to our WhatsApp number (+852 9885 2755).

(1) your name used for booking,

(2) mobile number used for booking, and

(3) your desired new visiting date and time

Kindly note will respond within three business days.

Group Booking

If your group booking was cancelled due to inclement weather (including Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 8 or above / “Extreme Conditions” / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal^), you may rebook for a new session within 7 days by submitting the following information to booking@childrensdiscoverymuseum.hk.

(1) the name of ONE representative

(2) the contact number of the representative, and

(3) the new visiting time for each participants/families (*different admission day and time is allowed)

Kindly note we will respond within three business days.

^ Rebooking of tickets are only acceptable when:

(1) the original admission time was when the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 8 or above / “Extreme Conditions” / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal was in force

(2) the original admission time was within 2 hours after the cancellation of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 8 or above / “Extreme Conditions” / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

Terms and Conditions

  • Ticket(s) for individual or groups can only be rescheduled once;

  • Rebooking for group members must be done by ONE representative;

  • Rebooking must be made within 7 days from the original date of the session. Failure to do so will deem the ticket(s) as forfeited ;

  • The rescheduled ticket(s) are only applicable to HKCDM;

  • No refund will be provided for the rescheduled ticket(s);

  • General terms and conditions for the admission tickets apply to the rescheduled ticket(s);

  • The Hong Kong Children’s Discovery Museum Limited reserves the right to change the "Terms and Conditions" at any time, without notice to the visitors.

  • In case of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions of these "Terms and Conditions", the English version shall prevail.

  • Any disputes connected in any way to the booking will be resolved by Children’s Museum Ltd. in its absolute discretion.

Rebooking arrangement due to inclement weather for School and NGO group visits

For all inclement weather (including Red Rainstorm, Black Rainstorm, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 and above), CDM will follow the government’s arrangement.

If schools are closed, the visit will be re-booked to another day. Re-booking to visit another day must be made as soon as possible and the new visit date must take place within 60 days from the originally scheduled day. Otherwise, it will be deemed as forfeited.
